Typhlo & Tactus

Typhlo & Tactus (T&T), initiated in 1999 and organized since that time by Les Doigts Qui Rêvent,
is
a unique international prize awarded each two years to the best tactile illustrated book prototypes accessible to children who are visually impaired (blind and partially sighted).

Group of founding members constituting the jury: Belgium, Finland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, United Kingdom.

European participating countries : Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, United Kingdom.

Outside UE participating countries: Brazil, Canada, Colombia, India, Iran, Russia, United States of America.

International partners: Japan, Norway, New Zealand, South Korea.

Aim of T&T:

      •     Facilitate access to writing and culture for children who are visually impaired

      •    Create an international synergy around Tactile illustrated  Books (TiB).

          Increase supply and quality of this kind of album at a non-discriminatory         price

      •     Exchange experiences, projects

      •     Coordinate means
